On April 28, 2026, the youth forum “Open Conversation” was held in Uralsk under the “Law and Order” ideology. It focused on preventing gender-based violence.
The forum’s main purpose was to discuss the problem of gender-based violence in society, examine prevention mechanisms, and improve the legal literacy of young people.
During the event, several experts presented papers on relevant topics. A. Semgalieva, Head of the Children’s Rights Protection Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, emphasized the importance of parent-child relationships. D. Satarova, a representative of the regional police department, spoke about the work being done to prevent domestic violence in the region. Furthermore, Z. Khamzin, Head of the Regional Youth Resource Center, raised issues of the role of fathers in young families and strengthening family values.
The forum was held in an open dialogue format, allowing participants to exchange opinions. Young people were able to ask questions and make suggestions. According to the organizers, such meetings help address pressing social issues and foster active civic engagement among young people.
