As part of the nationwide environmental campaign “Clean Kazakhstan,” on April 30, 2026, in Lecture Hall 207, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Education and Computer Science A.I. Abekeshev held an open seminar on “Clean Kazakhstan – Bright Future” for first-year students of the educational program “Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education” majoring in “Nature and Society.” The goal of the seminar was: Sustainable Development and Environmental Responsibility. Environmental Culture and Its Importance.

During the open seminar, students were shown slides and videos on the topics of “Implementation of Green Technologies,” “Use of Renewable Energy Sources,” and “Waste Recycling and Sorting.” They were divided into groups, presented posters, and completed a group assessment.

The students in this group set an example for other students by sorting household waste (paper, plastic, and glass) into special containers located in the hallways of the academic building and encouraged them to support the “Waste Sorting” campaign.

At the end of the seminar, the instructor summarized and assessed the students’ work, which was prepared using the Kahoot platform.

The open seminar was held at a very high level and helped to spark students’ interest in studying the subject.
