On April 15, 2026, the Department of Finance and Economics held a meeting of the Academic Committee. Representatives of government agencies, business, faculty, and students discussed the development of undergraduate and graduate programs in Finance, Accounting and Audit, and Economics.

Key Participants: The discussion involved: R.Zh. Yerkegaliyeva (WKR Department of Strategic Development), G.V. Bisekenova (Technodom Operator JSC), M.Ch. Kadyrbekov (State Revenue Administration for Uralsk), A.B. Borangaliyev (Uralsk Akim’s Office), B.B. Zhurumukhamedov (WKR Treasury Department), N.V. Mikhailova (Bank CenterCredit JSC), and D.A. Khrysev (TRISTAR LLP).

Faculty members, master’s students, and undergraduates, together with employers, analyzed learning outcomes and identified the following priorities:

• Aligning curricula with modern labor market requirements.
• Ensuring qualified staffing and involving industry practitioners in the educational process.
• Expanding internship facilities at partner enterprises.
• Integrating digital resources and updated methodological materials into program implementation.

Following the meeting, it was decided to approve the draft educational programs, incorporating proposals for their qualitative update. This will ensure the training of highly qualified specialists ready for the challenges of the modern economy.
