On April 15, 2026, the Department of Finance and Economics organized a practice-oriented lesson on the subject “Fundamentals of Financial Literacy” on the topic “Private Entrepreneurship and Startups” for the educational programs 6B01702 – Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages, 6B01704 – Kazakh Language and Literature and Turkish, 6B01301 – Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education, 6B01403 – Music Education, 6B01601 – History, 6B01401 – Physical Education and Sports, 6B01501 – Computer Science, 6B03101 – Psychology, 6B12301 – Law Enforcement, 6B03201 – Library Science, 6B02301 – Translation Studies.
Liana Alekseevna Tursynova, Chair of the West Kazakhstan Region Women’s Workers’ Council, and Natalya Vladimirovna Mikhailova, Director of the Uralsk Branch of CenterCreditBank JSC, were invited to the practical session as guests. Representatives of the West Kazakhstan Region Women’s Workers’ Council discussed the role of women in entrepreneurship, existing opportunities, and government support measures. They also provided helpful advice, citing specific examples of women entrepreneurs on how to start a business, the challenges they face, and the achievements they have achieved. Participants asked questions about starting a business and discussed important topics such as financing, marketing, and attracting clients.
The event was interactive, allowing participants to freely express their opinions and exchange ideas. Participants learned new information about entrepreneurship, increased interest in starting their own businesses, learned the basic requirements for receiving grants, and discussed the need to develop a business plan, undergo specialized training, defend their project, and use funds for their intended purpose.
In addition, the Director of JSC CenterCreditBank discussed programs, training projects, and preferential financing opportunities offered by second-tier banks and financial institutions to support women’s entrepreneurship. The importance of increasing women’s economic activity was emphasized.
