On March 29, 2022, students of 1-2 courses of the specialty “Standardization and Certification” (by industry) of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of ZKITU visited and got acquainted with the work of the West Kazakhstan branch of the ZKF RSE Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology “KazStandart”.

The purpose of the excursion is to acquaint students with the activities of specialists in the field of standardization and metrology, to increase their understanding and interest in their profession. The event was organized by the head of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology of ZKITU L.I. Baitlesova and senior lecturer G.A. Santalina. The leading specialist of the organization – Yertuganov Kanat Musayevich acquainted the students with the equipment, measuring instruments of the current testing laboratory of the organization used in testing samples of oil samples, hydraulic oils and other oil products. Kanat Musaevich explained in detail to the students the principle of applying methods of work on verification / calibration of physico-chemical measuring instruments and the operation of the stand for checking flow density meters., a temperature calibrator was also presented, with which the calculation of the permissible error is carried out. Having seen the work of metrologists and standardization specialists, future specialists have increased interest in the profession being studied.
