On October 19, 2022, students of the 4th year of the educational program “Environmental Protection and life safety” of the engineering and humanitarian Faculty of WKITU held a practice-oriented lesson on the discipline “Safety of machinery and technologies” at the Enterprise “Ural transformer plant” LLP.

The lesson was conducted by the inspector of labor Protection and safety of the enterprise E.K. Masalimov and senior lecturer of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, Master of Technical Sciences G.R. Kurmasheva. During the lesson, students were introduced to the main technological processes in the workshops. Dangerous and harmful production factors when working at this enterprise are: the effect of electric current on the human body; work at height; insufficient lighting of the workplace; unfavorable meteorological conditions – temperature, humidity, air velocity; gasification of the working area; industrial injuries and other factors. The specialist also explained the specifics of the work of the labor protection inspector, his duties, noted how responsible the position is.

The lesson contributed to the development of students’ professional and practical knowledge, increased interest in the future profession, the formation of professional and personal qualities focused on future professional activity.
