Since October 2024-2025 academic year, the Institute of Education and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University organized the courses “Neurobics – Gymnastics for the Brain” and “English for Travel” within the framework of the Silver University project. The purpose of implementing these courses was to improve the quality of life and support the self-development of senior citizens, show respect, implement the Silver University model in accordance with the University Development Program. On December 12, 2024, the director of the Institute Tasmagambetov Asset Sembaevich congratulated 30 students who successfully completed the courses and presented certificates.
The students expressed gratitude to the teachers – Zhumagulova Gulshat Amerkhanovna and Suyunova Aigerim Tyulkibaevna, the organizer of the course Bekmasheva Aktoty Nigmetovna. They attended the classes on the course “English for Traveling” with interest, enriched the vocabulary necessary for traveling and learned to ask questions and build dialogues independently. We would like to especially note that the classes of the course of the teacher Gulshat Amerkhanovna “Neurobics – gymnastics for the brain” were very rich and interesting. The course was organized with the aim of preventing cognitive disorders in the elderly. The exercises were aimed at developing thinking, speech, attention, memory with the help of pencils, paints, fairy tales, balls, etc. The classes used such methods as finger gymnastics, mirror writing, self-massage of the hands, logic games, etc.
