As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Sectoral Technologies of West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University (WKITU), a vibrant and inspiring event took place — the student AI pitching on the theme “Artificial Intelligence in My Future Profession.”
The goal of the event was to engage students in thinking about the future of their professions in the context of rapid technological development and the integration of artificial intelligence into various fields of activity.
Participants presented projects, ideas, and analytical reflections on how AI can transform traditional approaches in education, law, engineering, construction, architecture, life safety, and other sectors.
With a warm and motivational welcome, Astana Hub manager Zhanarys Tubekbayev addressed the participants. In his speech, he noted:
“Today, you are not just sharing ideas — you are shaping the future. Artificial intelligence is already transforming all industries, and it is up to young professionals like you to ensure that this technological future is humane, beneficial, and effective. I wish each of you confidence, creativity, and belief in your own potential.”
The pitching format allowed each participant a few minutes to present their vision of the role of AI in their future professional activity. Among the projects were mobile applications based on machine learning, concepts of intelligent assistants for schools, legal platforms with AI-driven analytics, and much more.
The event featured short presentations in which students demonstrated not only creativity but also a deep understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with AI implementation. Particularly encouraging was the fact that many of the projects were practice-oriented and could potentially be implemented in real professional environments even now.
The event became a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering creative thinking, and developing a culture of technology among students. At the end of the pitching session, all participants were awarded certificates and commemorative gifts.
The AI-pitching event confirmed: WKITU youth are ready to face the challenges of the digital era and are confidently looking toward the future!
