On January 16, 2025, the Department of Transport and Technology of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology hosted a scientific seminar on topical issues of scientific research and their role in the higher education system. The seminar program was rich and reflected a variety of scientific developments, which was attended by the faculty of the department, doctoral and postgraduate students of the department, as well as visiting Professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Burakhta Vera Alekseevna.

The topic of the seminar is “Innovations in the field of science development in higher education”, which touches on the most important aspects of modern educational and scientific activities at the department. Akylbek Nurlybekovich Omarov, Head of the Department, PhD, PhD, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the seminar, who wished the participants successful work. Leading managers, from young graduate students to experienced professors, shared interim research results, which are devoted to the interim results of research work commissioned by organizations and enterprises in 2024. The report of Associate Professor, PhD, PhD Biniyazov A.V. showed how the introduction of innovative approaches can improve the reliability and efficiency of diesel engines, and the contractual work will be completed in 2026. A study by senior lecturer, PhD Kazhiyakhmetova A.A. It is aimed at improving the quality of feed and reducing the cost of their production, which is of great importance for the agricultural sector of the West Kazakhstan region, and the contractual work will be completed in 2027.

Special attention should be paid to the younger generation of teachers of the department with reports on the performance of scientific research as doctoral students and postgraduates (senior teachers Nurgaliev L.M., Kiyasova G.M., Tabinbaev A.M.). Reports of doctoral students and postgraduates play a key role in the structure of cathedral scientific research, helping doctoral students and postgraduates analyze current scientific progress and develop new directions research on the topics of his dissertations. Reports on the implementation of scientific research on complex and initiative topics of the department were also presented (senior lecturer M.T. Nurgaliev L.M., assoc.Professor, Ph.D. Churikova L.A.). The presented reports expressed the scientific interest of those present, emphasizing the need for a systematic approach to safety issues in the field of transport and oil and gas production.
