On November 23, 2023, a round table on the topic was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University at the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering: «Computer technology of the modern world” as part of the implementation of the work “School of Pedagogical Excellence».
The purpose of the event is to unite the scientific circles of the Institute for the popularization of science, support and attract students to scientific activities during extracurricular time, which is a creative student collective united by work on one or more scientific problems in the received specialty.
The round table was attended by participants and heads of scientific circles OP 6B07102 – «Electric power industry» and 6B07105 – Automation and control (by industry) (circle «Energy»), 6B11201 – «Life safety and environmental protection» (circle «Erudite»), 6B07201 – «Oil and gas business» (circle «Oil without borders»), 6B11301 – «Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport» (circle «Engineering»).
In their reports, the students analyzed the current situation and discussed ways to develop IT technologies in various industries, told about the use of computing technologies in their chosen specialty. We discussed the needs for qualified IT specialists, as well as the use of the latest technologies in the educational process.
All the participants of the round table actively and with interest discussed the development of modern computing systems, the speakers answered the questions posed. The round table was held at a high level.
