On November 3, 2025, the university hosted the regional forum-game “KNOW AND PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS!”, organized by the Department of Justice of the West Kazakhstan Region in cooperation with the university within the framework of a memorandum of understanding.

            The main goal of the forum was to enhance the legal culture of student youth, to develop their knowledge in the field of intellectual property, digital and artificial intelligence (AI) law, as well as to foster a culture of protecting one’s rights in the modern digital society.

            Four student teams took part in the event — from the Institute of Industrial Technologies, M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University, the Institute of Education and Management, and the Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Telecommunication Technologies.

            The forum was held in an interactive format and included several stages:

  • AI Court — modeling a court process with the use of artificial intelligence;
  • QR Case — solving legal problems revealed through QR codes;
  • Legal Blitz — a series of quick legal questions and answers;
  • Media Debates — discussing the topic “Law and Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities.”

            The participants’ work was evaluated by a competent jury consisting of representatives from the Department of Justice, the judiciary, the prosecutor’s office, the bar association, the Department of Economic Investigations, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” and the regional akimat.

            Based on the results of the forum, the winners and prizewinners were announced:

  • The team “Aqparat Saqshylary” from the Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Telecommunication Technologies received the nomination “Best Legal Team”;
  • The team “Zang Kyrandary” from the Institute of Industrial Technologies was awarded the nomination “Best Presentation and Team Spirit”;
  • The team “JustTeam” from Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University received the nomination “Best Media Defender”;
  • The team “Femida” from the Institute of Education and Management was recognized in the nomination “Most Innovative Solution.”

            The winners and prizewinners were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts from the organizers.

            The forum became an important platform for fostering legal thinking, sharing experiences, and strengthening partnerships between young people and representatives of the region’s legal institutions.
