On May 21, 2026, the final stage of the Republican Student Sports League in the national sport of “Kazaksha Kures” among students of Kazakhstan’s higher education institutions took place in Almaty. The competition was held at the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Student Sports Union.

In the final bout of the competition, Kasan Akdidar, a 3rd year student in the Jurisprudence program at West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, demonstrated outstanding skill in the 75+ kg weight category (women), becoming the champion of the Republican Student Sports League and taking first place!
