On April 30, within the framework of implementing the idea of building a “Just Kazakhstan” and the concept of “Law and Order” enshrined in the Preamble of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a ceremonial opening of the specialized “Future Prosecutor’s Space” corner was held at the Department of Law of WKITU STI. The event aimed to foster patriotism, responsibility, and enhance the legal culture of students.

The moderator of the event, Associate Professor of the Department of Law T.Kh. Rakhmetov, introduced the guests: Deputy Prosecutor of the West Kazakhstan Region, Senior Counselor of Justice M.M. Tautenov; Chairperson of the Veterans Council of the Prosecutor’s Office of WKR A.S. Unaeva; veteran of the prosecutor’s office J.K. Kapezov; senior assistants to the regional prosecutor D.E. Nursultanova and K.Zh. Kapezov; relatives of World War II participants – veterans of the WKR prosecutor’s office I.A. Gapich, A.M. Mukhamedyarov, G.B. Karakulov; founder of WKITU A.K. Bozymova; Rector of WKITU B.T. Shakeshev; Vice-Rectors I.N. Zhubantaev and S.A. Mashanova; Director of STI B.A. Bilashev; as well as faculty members and students of the department.

The materials presented in the corner reflect the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic and the region in strengthening legality and law and order during different periods, the continuity of generations, and the important role of prosecutors during the years of Independence. Historical, legal, and specialized literature revealing the functions and tasks of the prosecutor’s office as a law enforcement body are displayed. Service uniforms, insignia, shoulder boards with special ranks, and departmental awards of prosecutors are also exhibited. Stands with the Oath and the Code of Ethics of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan are presented.

It is symbolic that the event took place on the eve of national holidays of Kazakhstan – Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day. The corner includes a stand dedicated to nine World War II participants who were employees and veterans of the WKR prosecutor’s office. At the age of today’s students (18–19 years old), they were drafted into the Soviet Army, fought heroically on various fronts of the war, and after the war worked with honor in the prosecutor’s office. Their military and labor awards are presented, along with materials highlighting that the region was the only rear area of the Stalingrad Front in the Republic.

The military and labor achievements of these veterans serve as a vivid example for today’s law students of courage, patriotism, love for the Motherland, loyalty to their oath, and high professionalism in upholding the law.

Deputy Prosecutor of WKR M.M. Tautenov and veteran J.K. Kapezov congratulated the faculty and students on the opening of the corner, expressing confidence that its materials would help train practice-oriented law students. They also noted that prosecutors would provide support within the framework of the memorandum.

The event was accompanied by performances of traditional dombra pieces by law students. The moderator expressed gratitude to the staff of the WKR Prosecutor’s Office, their veterans’ organization, and relatives of WWII veterans for their practical and methodological assistance in organizing the corner, and thanked all participants and guests.

The event continued in the assembly hall of WKITU, where faculty members and students took part.

Rector of WKITU B.T. Shakeshev delivered a report on the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept at the university, highlighting efforts to cultivate integrity, patriotism, responsibility, and improve legal culture among students. These efforts are carried out in close cooperation between faculty, advisors, and the compliance service with the WKR Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement agencies under signed memoranda. A film demonstrating the interaction between faculty, students, and prosecutors was shown, including guest lectures, student excursions, internships, participation in academic committees, and joint legal events.

Deputy Prosecutor M.M. Tautenov, in his speech, emphasized the importance of following the idea of building a “Just Kazakhstan,” the need for students to take their studies seriously, and outlined the requirements for candidates entering the prosecutor’s service. He thanked the university staff for active cooperation and invited graduates to join the prosecutor’s office.

Particular interest among attendees was drawn by a video address from 103-year-old World War II veteran, “People’s Hero,” and veteran of the prosecutor’s office Ivan Stepanovich Gapich, who resides in Uralsk.
