On March 19, 2025, an official engagement of the faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Translation Studies of the Institute of Education and Management with representatives of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University.

During the official engagement, KPO employees, including the Head of the HR and Workforce Planning Department Albina Kinderbaeva, leading HR specialist Damira Yesskalieva, manager of the translation services department Almaz Askar and senior translator of three languages ​​Tilekkabyl Yesspolov, presented the student internship program, its content and requirements to the students.

As part of this program, students of the educational program 6B02301 – Translation Studies have the opportunity to undergo industrial internship, improve their professional skills and gain valuable experience in their future profession. The official engagement also discussed issues of further development of cooperation between KPO and the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Translation Studies.

In addition, the issue of introducing special courses into the educational program aimed at developing students’ soft skills in order to improve their professional competence was considered. This official engagement was an important step in strengthening cooperation between West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V., as well as in improving student training. The information provided by KPO contributes to the systematic organization of the students’ industrial practice process and increases their competitiveness in the labor market. Thus, further development of interaction between the university and industry is an important prerequisite for training highly qualified specialists in the field of translation.
