On the 21 of March, 2026, the traditional rapid chess tournament dedicated to the Nauryz holiday was held in the assembly hall of the Industrial Technology Institute at WKITU. More than 40 schoolchildren champions and prize-winners of regional, republican tournaments took part in tournament. Schools city of Uralsk No. 1, 7, 9, 17, 19, 22, 24, 27, 28, 31, 35, 39, 41, 42, 53, RFMSh, NISH, Zhaiyk Daryny, GED, IT Lyceum, Lyceum Bilim-innovation, as well as young talents of Terektinsky, Baiterek, Chingirlau regions. The tournament was also attended by 20 chess veterans as part of the Silver University program.

- 2nd place – Toktakhunov Murad BIL 8th grade
- 3rd place Amangeldy Sanzhar NIS 11th grade,
Nomination “Best Chess Player” – Kurmanali Aruzhan NIS 11th grade.
Among the seniors, the winner was Professor N.M. Kadyrgaliev.
All winners were awarded Diplomas of the WKITU Rector Shakeshev B.T., as well as prize money from the founder of the university Bozymova A.K. The Department of General Discipline Department organized a coffee break, treating them to baursaks and nauryz leather. All participants of the tournament – schoolchildren, parents, veterans expressed sincere gratitude for the excellent organization of the Tournament.
