On November 13, 2024, the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology hosted a guest lecture on “Databases for big Data analysis” for students of the educational programs “Computer Engineering and Information Systems” and “Automation and Control”.
The lecture in an online format was conducted by Ulzhan Bolatovna Kusainova, Master of Technical Sciences, Senior lecturer of the Department of Informatics and Information Systems of the Abai Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University.
The lecture covered the main aspects of designing and using databases for storing big data, including relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non-relational (MongoDB, Redis) systems. Methods of collecting and storing big data using technologies such as Data Warehouse and Data Lake were also discussed.
The lecture provided students with useful information about modern approaches and tools for working with big data, which aroused great interest among students and teachers. The knowledge gained will be useful in their further studies and professional activities.
