On February 5, 2024, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University and the Center for Promotion of Sustainable Development, which acts as the secretariat of the Network of Enterprises for bottle and can drive of plastic “PlastNet”.

The partners agreed to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the functioning of the Network of enterprises for bottle and can drive plastic “PlastNet”, created as part of the social initiative “Say “Yes!” plastic recycling” with the support of the International Foundation “The Coca-Cola Foundation”.

Cooperation will be carried out in the following areas:

– provide assistance in increasing the share of bottle and can drive of secondary raw materials, including plastic in Kazakhstan;

– promote measures necessary to jointly solve the problems of collecting and processing secondary raw materials, including plastic, including measures to prevent the release of plastic waste in unauthorized places and in containers for joint waste collection;

– improve the population’s culture in the field of handling secondary raw materials, including plastic waste;

– increase the awareness of this environmental action among young people and its participants and promote a positive image of the university on social networks as an environmentally responsible organization.
