On August 24, 2024, Dr. Joel M. Erickson, head of the Institute of International Education (IIE) in Eurasia and founder of Steppe Global Education, visited West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University and met with Bekbulat Temerzhanovich Shakeshev, rector of WKITU, and other representatives of the administration and faculty of the university. During the meeting they discussed the directions of multilateral mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of Kazakhstan-University Consortium (KUUC), of which our university is a member.

Being one of the founders of the partnership program of the Kazakhstan-American Consortium of Universities (KUUC), WKITU strives to establish comprehensive ties with higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and the United States to better support all stakeholders. At the end of the meeting the rector of the university on behalf of the entire staff of the university expressed gratitude to Dr. Erickson for an informative and productive meeting.
