On April 16, 2026, the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering held a meeting of the Academic Committee to discuss changes to the educational programs for the 2026–2027 academic year: 6B07102 – “Electric Power Engineering,” 6B07105 – “Automation and Control (by industry),” and 6B06104 – “Computer Engineering and Information Systems.”

Both external and internal stakeholders participated in the meeting. During the discussion, the changes proposed by the department and reviewers were considered.

The changes to the educational program 6B07102 – “Electric Power Engineering” involved splitting the course “Electrical Circuits and Information-Measuring Instruments” into two separate courses: “Electrical Drawings and Schematics” and “Information and Measuring Technology.” To maintain the balance of credits, it was proposed to remove the course “High Voltage Engineering.”

The changes to the educational program 6B07105 – “Automation and Control (by industry)” included the introduction of a new course “Intelligent Control Systems,” as well as reducing the number of credits for the course “Fundamentals of Automation and Control” from 10 to 5. In addition, it was proposed to update the content of the following courses: “Information Security and Data Protection,” “Electronics,” and “Microprocessor Systems in Control.”

The changes to the educational program 6B06104 – “Computer Engineering and Information Systems” included replacing the course “Database Administration and Development” (10 credits) with two courses: “Database Design” (5 credits) and “Big Data Technologies” (5 credits). Additionally, the course “Application Development in C#” (10 credits) was replaced with “Fundamentals of DevOps” (5 credits) and “UI/UX Design and Prototyping” (5 credits). It was also proposed to update the content of the course “Object-Oriented Programming.”

As a result of the discussion, all participants supported the proposed changes and agreed on the necessity of updating the content of the educational programs.
