On December 13, 2023, according to the work plan of the Department of Law, in the office of the Forensic Laboratory, in order to acquire practical knowledge in the discipline of Criminalistics, students of the educational programs “Jurisprudence”, “Judicial and prosecutorial activity”, “Legal regulation of transportation, movement and operation of transport” conducted a practice-oriented lesson with a veteran of criminalistics services of the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department by E.K. Zhumangaliev.

At the meeting, the students were familiarized with the biography and work experience of Yerbulat Kibattulovich, since he graduated from the Forensic Faculty of the Volgograd Higher Investigative School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 1995.

He served in the internal affairs bodies for 28 years, 18 of them in the forensic service, having worked his way up from a cadet to a police lieutenant colonel. For the last 14 years, he has been the head of the forensic department of the Uralsk police Department. He received 7 permits to conduct the following forensic examinations – fingerprint, ballistic, handwriting, technical examination of documents, portrait, fire-technical and cold weapon examination. He successfully applied the acquired knowledge in his practical activities.

According to the results of 2001, he was recognized as the “Best criminologist of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and awarded a special diploma.

During the lesson, the veteran of the service told the students in detail about the importance of studying the subject of “Criminology” and the practical application of the acquired knowledge.He gave many examples from his practice, where his work as a forensic expert on the detection and removal of traces of crime from the scene using scientific and technical means contributed to the disclosure of a number of non-obvious serious and high-profile crimes, including murders, robberies, burglaries.
