On January 29, 2025, the Department of Architecture and Construction hosted the opening of a personal exhibition of architect, artist, engraver, cartoonist, photographer Serik Kulmeshkenov (Kazakhstan, USA).

Practicing architects were invited as guests: Iskendirov Nariman Kuangalievich, Umerkaeva Tatyana Petrovna, Umerkaev Yuri Borisovich, Ivanyuk Vasily Grigorievich.

Bulat Tursynbayevich, being personally acquainted with Serik Kulmeshkenov, told about the difficult fate and thorny life of the artist’s creative path, his student years and the worldwide recognition of his classmate… Serik K.’s works are imbued with deep philosophy, humor, and irony. … Artistic photographs full of tenderness and beauty. The technique of ex-libris on plexiglass impresses with its execution, complex and unique compositions.
