On December 2, 2024, senior lecturer Murzabekova Zh.A. organized an excursion to the Department of the Museum of Nature and Ecology of the GKP «West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local Lore of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Akimat of West Kazakhstan region» for students of OP 6B11201 «Life safety and environmental protection».
The event was organized as part of the celebration of the Day of the Adoption of the Declaration of Animal Rights or International Animal Rights Day, with the assistance of the head of the excursion department Dzhumagazieva Aigul Umargalievna.
The students got acquainted with the unique collection of exhibits of the former Ural Military Museum, and the traveler and naturalist G.S.Karelin, who initiated the natural history collection of the museum, wrote back in 1852 about the remnants of a fine collection of fossils seen in the Ural Museum: bones of mammoth, rhinoceros, deer. The students showed interest and asked questions in the field of ecology and environmental protection. After viewing the exposition, the students were shown a video film «Nature of the West Kazakhstan region».
