West Kazakhstan Innovative Technological University, alongside ensuring the quality of education, places special emphasis on the development of research activities and systematically upgrades its material and technical base. One of the concrete steps in this direction is the modernization of the “Building Materials and Building Thermal Physics” laboratory of the Department of Architecture and Construction at the Institute of Sectoral Technologies.
In particular, the laboratory has been equipped with the following modern devices:
- PGM-1500MG4 compact hydraulic press – designed to determine the compressive strength of concrete, ceramic, and other construction material samples under loads of up to 1500 kN;
- KSh24K-3/6 climatic chamber – enables the study of frost resistance of materials and allows testing under various temperature conditions;
- VLTE laboratory electronic balance – with a measurement accuracy of 0.01 g, intended for highly precise determination of sample mass.
To date, the university has allocated 30 million tenge for the development of laboratory and research infrastructure. By the end of the current academic year, the purchase of additional equipment worth up to 20 million tenge is planned.
Guided by the principle of continuity between science and education, the Department of Architecture and Construction consistently contributes to innovative research, the introduction of new technologies, and the enhancement of the region’s scientific potential.
