On April 23, 2023, a meeting was held between 11th grade students of secondary school № 20 with representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University, career guidance was carried out by a senior teacher, master of technical sciences of the Department of Oil and Gas Business of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities Yerbulan Samigollauli. During the career guidance work, information was provided about the university, about educational programs, according to which WKITU trains specialists in demand in the labor market, as well as detailed information necessary for entering the university.
At a meeting with students, they discussed the problem of choosing a future profession, which is always acute for them, most of the students showed interest, and information was provided on grants and scholarships that may be available to those who decide to engage in research activities in the oil and gas industry. This information was especially interesting for students who are already starting to think about their future and what professions might suit them.
There were a lot of questions at the meeting and I would like to share some of them: What skills do you need to become an oil and gas engineer? What employment prospects are there for graduates of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities? What are the requirements for obtaining a grant from the KAZENERGY association?
Career guidance work in the schools of the city of Uralsk was held at the highest level. We wish success to all future school graduates!
