At present, in accordance with modern requirements, the importance of involving teachers-practitioners in the educational process in higher educational institutions is increasing. To this end, on January 26, 2023, the school psychologist of the school-gymnasium No. 44 named after D. Konaev G.M. Toksanov and senior lecturer of the department “Pedagogy and psychology” Nurmukanbetova V.E. organized a master class on the topic “Areas of application of art therapy in the work of a psychologist” for 4th year students of the educational programs “Pedagogy and Psychology” and “Psychology”. on the subject “Practical psychology”. Purpose: to reveal the history of the formation and development of art therapy in the work of a psychologist, modern methods of art therapy, the state of its use in practice. During the master class, a practicing psychologist Toksanova G.M. applied art therapy in practice, conducted training sessions with students, presented the methodology for organizing art therapy, and senior teacher Nurmukanbetova V.E. explained the development and main directions of art therapy from a theoretical point of view. . Teachers and students of the department took part in the master class and exchanged experience.
