In the 2nd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year at the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University, as part of the external academic mobility of teaching staff, Professor of the Department of Surgery, Obstetrics, Pharmacology and Therapy of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology of the Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Valery Arkadievich Ermolaev conducted online training sessions on the discipline «Veterinary surgery» for students of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology of the VM-42 group.

During the classes, the theoretical aspects of veterinary surgery with topographic anatomy were studied; methods of asepsis and antiseptics, methods of felling, fixation of animals, local and general anesthesia, as well as the technique of performing injections, infusions, bloodletting were mastered; the technique of performing novocaine blockades, therapeutic, diagnostic and preventive surgical interventions were studied. The students mastered the skills of assessing the functional state of the animal’s body for modern diagnosis of diseases, interpretation of the results of modern diagnostic technologies.
