On October 31, 2024, a workshop on the topic “Mekteptegі tarikh sabagy: basymdyktar zhane zhetіldіru strategіyalary” was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, organized jointly by the Education Department of the West Kazakhstan Region in cooperation with the Regional Methodological Center.
The purpose of the workshop is to analyze the methodology and modern practices of teaching history subjects at school. The event was actively attended by university teachers, specialists of the methodological center, methodologists, teachers of secondary schools of the region, students and postgraduates. The workshop began with a presentation by the vice-rector for academic and methodological work of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, associate professor Mashanova S.A., on the role of the university in the system of higher pedagogical education in Kazakhstan. In turn, the director of the Regional Methodological Center, Master of Pedagogy Kubasheva G.K. made an analysis of the ongoing joint work with the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University on the issues of training teaching staff in the region.
During the seminar, the participants were introduced to the modern material base of the Institute of Education and Management, classrooms, an educational television studio and specialized rooms. Then a demonstration lesson on the subject “History of Kazakhstan” was held by a history teacher, research teacher and Master of Historical Sciences of the Kassym Amanzholov Secondary School of the Baiterek district of the West Kazakhstan region Dakesheva A.B.
At the organized practical platform, innovative methods of teaching history, modern advanced practices and issues of developing historical thinking skills were discussed. The participants were a methodologist in history and social science of the Regional Methodological Center Shakaeva D.Sh., a History teacher of school No. 2 in Aksai Khasanov Zh.Z., master teacher and winner of the republican competition “Best Teacher” Aliyev S.Z. from gymnasium No. 44 named after D. Konaev, as well as master teacher Arystanov M.K. from the school named after K. Myrzaliev and the head of the history and law department of WKITU, Candidate of Historical sciences, associate professor Yernazarov Zh.T. At the end of the event, the director of the Institute of Education and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, Doctor of historical sciences, associate professor Tasmagambetov A.S. presented the participants with letters of gratitude.
