On October 22, on the subject of Criminology, a practice-oriented lesson was conducted by the chief criminologist of the Operational Criminalistic Department, Lieutenant Colonel of the Police Malaev A.M. on the topic “Criminalistic tracology” for students of the Law educational program at the Department of Law.
The criminologist-practitioner during the lesson, which was held in a specially equipped Forensic laboratory of the department, clearly demonstrated the use of forensic technology available in this laboratory.
So, using a special film, Malaev A.M. removed shoe tracks from the investigative suitcase. Using a special magnetic powder and a brush, he identified, fixed and removed traces of human fingers from the surface of the glass cabinet door.
In addition, Aslan Menduaevich demonstrated the work of an expert in detecting traces of an impression of the use of a special tool when breaking into a window frame and a criminal entering the premises. A flashlight was used to detect signs of burglary, photograph them and take an impression of the fingerprint from the burglary weapon. Also, he explained the procedure for their registration and subsequent appointment of forensic examinations by the investigator for them.
The lesson aroused great interest among the students, the guest answered all the questions.
