On October 16, 2025, a meeting with first-year students on the topic of “HIV and AIDS Prevention. Safe Behavior for Young People” was held at West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University (WKITU).
The event was attended by:
- Aziza B. Zarifova, Head of the Zhastar Youth Center;
- Zhansaya E. Taybuganova, Gynecologist;
- Bakhytgul Burambayevna Galimgalieva, Specialist at the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control;
- Aigerim Suinzhanovna Isakova, Psychologist.
The speakers discussed important issues related to HIV infection with the youth: transmission routes, prevention methods, the importance of regular testing, and a responsible attitude toward one’s health. Particular attention was paid to issues of sex education, psychological aspects of youth behavior, and debunking myths related to HIV. Students actively participated in the dialogue, asking questions and sharing their opinions.
