On January 30, 2024, a ceremonial meeting was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University dedicated to the 70-th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Leonidovich Melnikov, associate professor of the department of social disciplines and physical culture, Candidate of Biology, Master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honorary worker of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the state grant “Best University Teacher”. The ceremonial meeting was opened by the director of the Institute of Education and Management, Doctor of History Tasmagambetov Aset Sembaevich, who spoke about the achievements of the instructor’s scientific and pedagogical activities. First, a video was shown telling about the life path of the scientist. The first vice-rector of the university, Candidate of Economics, associate professor Mashanova S. A. made a welcoming speech and presented Vladimir Leonidovich with a Certificate of Honor from the rector of the university Shakeshev B. T. and the addressee with congratulations. After this, the founder of the university, Doctor of History, Academician Rysbekov T.Z. congratulated Vladimir Leonidovich on his anniversary and presented him with a gift. The following congratulations were continued by the guests who came to the meeting. The lecturers of the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University also congratulated the hero of the day, Doctor of Pedagogy, professor Salov V.Yu., associate professor Klimenko T. I., associate professor Zhishchenko A. N.. During the meeting, the heads of sports teams also congratulated: the director of children’s and youth sports school Zhangaliev E. K., the director of the regional specialized children’s and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve, the master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in sambo Aisagaliev E. K., the scientist’s wards, the security manager Joint Stock Company “Uralskneftegazgeologiya” Azhgaliev M.K., master of sports of international class in military sambo, winner of the World and Asian Championships Kartabaev S.S. congratulated the hero of the day, presented letters of gratitude and gifts. Lecturers of our university – professor Dzhumakaeva B. S. and associate professor Abdrakhmanova R. L. congratulated the scientist on his birthday. At the end of the meeting, the hero of the day Melnikov V.L. thanked the organizers of the gala meeting, guests, teachers and students of the university.
