How can school interests be transformed into a successful career in the world of high technology? Students of secondary schools №52 and №53 received the answer to this question during a large-scale meeting with the team of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University.
The purpose of the visit was not only to present the university, but also to provide real support to high school students in navigating the complex labor market.
WKITU representatives focused on practical value. The meeting program was divided into several key modules:
Analytics and Marketing: Specialists from the Marketing and Pre-University Training Department spoke about the “driver professions” of the economy of West Kazakhstan. Particular interest was shown in fields such as IT, engineering, oil and gas, and modern management, where WKITU graduates traditionally demonstrate a high level of employability.
Career Compass: Together with the career guidance specialist, students discussed why interdisciplinary skills are especially important today and how to choose a profession that will remain relevant over the next five years despite the growing impact of automation.
Applicant’s Guide: Representatives of the the Marketing and Pre-University Training Department explained all the key aspects of the 2026 admission campaign, from UNT profile subjects and required entrance subjects to internal grants and benefits available for talented youth.
Students from secondary schools №52 and №53 showed a high level of engagement. Their questions covered not only academic issues, but also the university’s innovation infrastructure, including laboratories, technology parks, and international exchange opportunities. The meeting further strengthened the close connection between the university and the city’s schools. Each future graduate received informational guides and invitations to Open House Days, where they will have the opportunity to personally explore the faculties and the modern university campus.
