As part of the 21st Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum on “Blue-collar Jobs as a Driver of Economic Growth,” held in Uralsk on November 12, 2025, West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University signed memoranda of cooperation with two higher education institutions in the Russian Federation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Bekbulat Temerzhanovich Shakeshev, Rector of the University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and associate professor, representing West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University (WKITU). Natalya Viktorovna Maslyuk, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education and Digital Transformation, represented Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology, and Engineering named after N.I. Vavilov. The signing ceremony was attended by Aleksey Gennadievich Goncharov, Rector of the Orenburg State Agrarian University, Candidate of Biological Sciences, and associate professor, representing Orenburg State Agrarian University. The signed memoranda are aimed at strengthening educational, methodological, scientific, and cultural ties between the universities of the two countries, and also provide for the development of academic exchange and joint fundamental scientific research.
