On June 5, 2025, a ceremony honoring the silver medalists of the XIII Summer Universiade was held in the conference hall of the Institute of Education and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University.

The XIII Summer Universiade is being held at the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in Turkestan from May 8 to June 16. The Universiade program includes 17 Olympic and national sports. The competition is attended by heads and students of 76 higher education institutions from all regions of the country.

First-year student of the Physical Training and Sports Kanat Abituly in the 81 kg weight category in judo brought our university the first bronze medal of the Universiade, which was held from May 15 to 18, 2025.

On May 24-25, 4th-year students of the educational program “Physical Training and Sports” Kasikova Natalie and Vlasenko Milana, as well as a 3rd-year student of this specialty Alimanova Madina showed excellent results. Our student-athletes won the second place (silver medal) in their weight category in Karate kata (WKF) (women).

The winning students were awarded a discount on tuition and letters of gratitude on behalf of the Founder of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University T.Z. Rysbekov.
