The Republic’s Fire and Rescue Sports Championship was held in Astana from February 26 to 28, 2025. Such a tournament is held three times a year in the republic. This time, about 500 rescue athletes gathered in the capital, who came from different regions and cities of the country to defend the honor of their region.
Artem Litvishkin, candidate for Master of Sports, who is studying EP 6B11201 Life safety and environmental protection, took part in the competition as part of a team of young men from the West Kazakhstan region.
The competitions were held in two disciplines: climbing an assault ladder and overcoming a hundred-meter obstacle course.
All athletes showed good preparation during competitive wrestling. The elements of this sport are taken from life, in a fire and other emergency situations, when seconds count, when people’s lives and the success of extinguishing a fire or eliminating an emergency situation depend on the skillful and quick actions of firefighters. Fire and rescue sports are one of the components of the special training of emergency personnel.
As a result, the West Kazakhstan Region boys’ team took the honorable 2nd place! Among the young men, our Artem has also ascended the podium! We congratulate Artem on his worthy victory, we are proud of you and wish you many such victories!
