On January 11, 2023, the Department of History and Law of the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology held a scientific seminar on “Research methods in History and Legal Sciences”.

The purpose of the organized scientific seminar is to discuss innovative, effective research methods in history and legal sciences, their practical implementation in the future.

At the scientific seminar, moderator, head of the department Balykova Akkayyn Muratovna presented a report of a scientific project on the topic: “The Urals: historical, archaeological, cultural heritage”.

In addition, the speaker of the scientific seminar, PhD, Associate Professor Kalmenov Murat Dabylovich, made a report on the topic “Teaching the methodology of archaeological excavations” and introduced the methodology.

The head of the department for work with departmental archives of the State Archive of the West Kazakhstan Region – Doshi Bagdat Serikovich, in his report “Methods of using archival documents in historical science”, spoke about how work is carried out with documents of the State archive of the West Kazakhstan Region in electronic format: ordering documents, working in online format with electronic archival documents received by order in personal account.

The Master of Law, senior lecturer – Gabdulov Akhat Zhomartovich made a report “Mediation is a necessity of modernity” and spoke about the implementation of a restorative approach in educational institutions, countering conflicts and offenses, explaining to students the effectiveness of mediation within the walls of the university in resolving disputes of conflicting parties.

At the scientific seminar, Master of Law, senior lecturer-Duisalieva Gulnaz Kambarbekovna told the participants of the seminar the algorithm for studying multi-episode criminal cases.

Teachers, students and undergraduates who participated in the scientific seminar asked questions and shared their opinions.
