West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology, being a member of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian countries, a member of the Alliance of Leaders of the New Generation, took part in the XXIV General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers.
The XXIV General Assembly is included in the agenda of the II Caspian Economic Forum, which was held in a mixed format at the B.B. Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University from October 4 to 7, 2022. The forum was attended by representatives of more than 30 higher educational institutions and research centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Having discussed the current tasks facing the Association, having listened to the reports of the representatives of the country coordinators, the reports of the participants of the round tables, summing up the results of the work of the Association in 2021-2022, the participants of the XXIV General Assembly noted the increased importance and recognition of the Association’s activities not only at the regional level, but also in the countries of the Caspian region as a whole; the scientific and social significance of the research conducted member universities of the Association for Social, Economic, and Environmental Problems of the Caspian Region, including achievements in the field of Caspian biodiversity research; the need to expand international cooperation between universities and SIC.
The forum was attended by Burakhta V.A., Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations of ZKITU; Mashanova S.A., Candidate of Economics, Assoc.Professor, Acting First Vice-rector and Vice-rector for Educational and Methodological work; Mukhambetkaliev A.S., Ph.D., Assoc.Professor, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Quality Assurance; Kurmanova Zh.B., Master of Cultural Studies, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of IGF; Zhubanyshev B.U., senior lecturer; Zhastlek N.O., Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of ZKITU.
In the work of the discussion platform “Global “green” agendas of modern economic systems”, the report “Youth entrepreneurship in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was made by Urazova B.A., Master of Economics, senior lecturer of the Department of Economics and Management and Larin E., a third-year student of the OP “Management” with the report “The Republic of Kazakhstan on the path of development of the digital economy”.
The participants of the General Assembly confirmed the importance of scientific, cultural and educational cooperation within the Association of Universities of the Caspian Countries and noted that the universities of the Association are called upon to become one of the main sources feeding the intellectual and creative activity of students by establishing closer multilateral ties between the Caspian universities.
