Professor of the Department of History and Law, Candidate of Historical Sciences Z.T. Yernazarov took part in a field expedition along the caravan routes of the Golden Horde period and in a field seminar on “Ancient caravan routes and problems of research of archaeological monuments along them”, organized by the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Sarayshyk” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of famous scientists of Kazakhstan and Russia.

Muktar (Kazakhstan, Saraishyk), archaeologist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor M. Yeleuov (Kazakhstan, Almaty), numismatist Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor P. N. Petrov (Russia, Moscow), archaeologist V. V. Plakhov (Russia, Astrakhan), Candidate of Historical Sciences M. S. Kasenov (Kazakhstan, Atyrau), ethnographer, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate Professor Z.T. Yernazarov (Kazakhstan, Uralsk), archaeologist A. Turaruly.
The field seminar was held in the newly identified place of Karagaily, 20 kilometers from the village of Saraishyk. During the seminar, scientists shared meaningful opinions concerning the terrain. For example, archaeologists M. Eleuov and V. Plakhov expressed the opinion that the found building is a mausoleum, noting that there was a large area along the trade route in this area. In addition, the numismatist P. Petrov expressed his initial opinion about the coins found there. In his opinion, the coins belong to the time of Uzbek Khan. Archaeologist M. Kasenov said that “in this area, in addition to Saraishyk, such a complex of baked bricks was discovered for the first time.” Z.T. Yernazarov spoke about the use of methods of archaeological and ethnographic analogies in the interpretation of the 2022 excavations found in Saraishyk of scapular bones. At the end of the meeting, the scientists expressed their opinions on the study, conservation and restoration of the identified habitat.
