Every year, on May 20, World Metrology Day is celebrated all over the world. This international event is a recognition of the professional work of metrologists from all over the world. In 2025, World Metrology Day will be held under the motto “Measurements for all people at all times”, emphasizing the importance of accurate measurements in everyday life – from healthcare and industry to trade and the environment.

The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety of the Institute of Industrial Technologies did not stand aside and took part in a seminar dedicated to the professional holiday, initiated by the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology “KazStandart”. The topic of the seminar is “The legislative framework for ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the Republic of Kazakhstan: basic provisions and principles, current state and development prospects.”

This day underlines the importance of observing the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements”, which sets out the main provisions, principles, current state and development prospects, and the structure of the state system for ensuring the uniformity of measurements for metrology specialists.

Events of this kind provide an opportunity for teachers of the educational programs “Standardization and Certification”, “Technology and Food Safety” of our university to be at the center of events and take a direct part in events related to professional activities in standardization, certification and metrology.
