As part of the scientific research of the Department of Oil and Gas Business on the economic contract topic “Development of measures for cleaning and monitoring the internal surfaces of tanks”, work was carried out at the Beles oil terminal of Zhaikmunai LLP to assess the level of bottom sediments by measuring at several points on the bottom surface oil tank through skylights.

Heads of scientific work Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department “Oil and Gas Business” Samal Zakikyzy and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Churikova Larisa Alekseevna (Department “Transport and Technology”) measured the level of bottom sediments in the reservoir RVS-5000 Beles oil terminal.

In the process of measuring the level of bottom sediments, samples were taken of both bottom sediments and oil in quantities sufficient to conduct laboratory studies on the selection of specific chemicals for the implementation of the method of cleaning the tank surfaces from bottom sediments.
