According to the plan of educational work of the Department of General Education Disciplines, on the 21st of November 2023, senior teacher Isagulova T.R. and tutor Sultangalieva A.A. organized a visit to the Museum of Nature and Ecology with the 1st year students by the educational program 6B07301 “Architecture.” Dzhumagazieva Aigul Umargalievna, the director of the museum conducted a tour on the theme: “Environmental problems of WKO.” The Museum of Nature and Ecology was based on the collection of the former military museum. Its exposition is presented in three halls and has more than 10,000 items of storage. The first hall is dedicated to the achievements of scientists-explorers of the region, minerals and bones of ancient animals of the region are demonstrated here. The second hall considers the fauna of Uralsk city. Here you can see insects, the diorama “Steppe,” which presents such typical animals for the edge as groundhog, jackal, steppe eagle, saigas. The third hall shows the diorama “Forest,” which depicts the largest representatives of the fauna of the Uralsk oblast: elk, roe deer, lynx, etc. The museum presents the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a list of animals listed in it. Further, the students were shown the film “Kapustin Yar,” about the KPO oil field, about the impact on nature. The bones of extinct animals are of interest to students: tusk, vertebra, mammoth root tooth.
