As part of Quality Week, the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies held a workshop entitled “Using ChatGPT in Developing Assignments and Tests.” The speakers were Dina Zhaksygalievna Kusainova, Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor and Altynbek Abutalievich Abdulmanov, Candidate of Philology, associate professor.

The purpose of the workshop was to demonstrate the potential of using modern neural network technologies to enhance the quality of the educational process, improve test material development methods, and construct multi-level assignments.

During the workshop, teachers received an overview of ChatGPT’s key functions and learned about its use in generating learning situations, creating vocabulary and grammar exercises, and creating contextual tests and analytical tasks. The speakers emphasized the principles of pedagogical correctness, the importance of verifying AI content, and maintaining academic integrity when working with digital tools. The practical part allowed participants to apply their acquired knowledge: teachers tried various command formats for the neural network, received recommendations on how to accurately formulate queries, and learned about the possibilities of adapting generated materials to specific educational goals.

The masterclass generated strong interest from the audience and became a key event of Quality Week, confirming the relevance of integrating AI technologies into the modern educational environment and their potential for improving the effectiveness of teaching.
