On November 13, 2025, the Department of History and Law held a practical seminar for the discipline “Methods of Teaching the History of Kazakhstan” on the topic: “Learning skills and techniques of academic work. Visual aids in teaching history. Use of active and innovative methods in teaching the history of Kazakhstan.” The seminar session for 3rd-year students of the educational program 6B01601–History was conducted by senior lecturer, Master of Pedagogical Sciences Aikorkem Nurlankyzy Kashapova.
During the session, which aimed to teach students how to use new technologies and active teaching methods in the course on teaching methodology of the history of Kazakhstan, innovative platforms, interactive tasks, and critical-thinking strategies were used. Practical activities were also conducted to develop the students’ professional competence.
The purpose of the session was to develop skills for the effective application of modern pedagogical technologies in history lessons. During the event, digital platforms, interactive maps, physical warm-up activities, group tasks, and staged lesson fragments were demonstrated as examples of active teaching methods.
Considering the importance of using AI platforms at every stage of the learning process in the modern school system, students exchanged skills and highlighted the significance of new methods in the educational process. The open session increased student engagement and contributed to the development of their methodological training. The new methods acquired during the class will serve as an important tool in their future pedagogical and professional practice.
