On January 14. 2022, a training seminar on the topic “Topical issues of creating a mass open online course” was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University. At the seminar, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Management Ramanova Aigul Abibullayevna made a report, during which general information was given about “mass open online courses”, the need for the introduction and development of mass open online courses in the modern educational process of the university was emphasized.

The prerequisites for the emergence and format features of mass open online courses in the modern educational space were also described. Having considered the possibilities of using mass open online courses in the educational process at the university, the advantages and disadvantages of courses developed for the university were also shown.
In addition, the factors that need to be taken into account when organizing mass open online courses in the educational process at the university were described. Topical issues of planning, stages and structural features of the creation of mass open online courses and the effectiveness of their implementation and application were discussed.
The second speaker, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Law Yernazarov Zhaskairat Tlekkabylovich spoke on the topic “Some methodological requirements for the development of mass open online courses (MOOCS) on the National Platform of Open Education of Kazakhstan (NPOOK)”.
The speaker spoke about the content of creating mass open online courses, the development of a program of mass open online courses in the format of online courses, the technical and general content parameters of mass open online courses and the requirements for evaluating learning outcomes when mastering mass open online courses, providing normative references related to some methodological requirements for the development of mass open online courses on the National Open Educational Platform of Kazakhstan.
