On October 7, 2026, with the support of the Regional Methodological Department, a regional seminar for English-language teachers was held at School-Lyceum No. 27 named after M. Mametova. The seminar was titled “From Learning to Speaking: Modern Approaches to English Communication.”

The seminar aimed to enhance teachers’ professional skills, facilitate the exchange of effective methods for developing speaking skills, and promote exemplary teaching practices.

The event was attended by S. A. Mashanova, Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs; faculty members and students from West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University. Zaure Amanbayeva, an Associate Professor at the university, shared her research and teaching experience in developing students’ communication skills through task-based learning. Fourth-year students enrolled in the Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages degree programme participated as attendees, gaining insight into the work of experienced teachers and modern teaching methods.

Under the new national model, schools are viewed as full partners of universities in preparing future teachers. Professional forums like this strengthen cooperation between schools and universities and contribute to high-quality teacher training. Preparing qualified teachers is a shared task and responsibility of both schools and universities.
