On November 24, 2025, senior lecturer Amanova B.N. held a round table at the Department of Architecture and Construction within the framework of the Kurylyshy student research circle.: “The introduction of artificial intelligence and modern information technologies in the architectural and construction industry.” This event was timed to coincide with the Address of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan “Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current challenges and their solutions through digital transformation” (09/08/2025).
The key objectives of the event were to stimulate discussion about the experience of developing artificial intelligence and to familiarize participants with advanced information technologies in the field of architecture and construction. In addition, the goal was to promote scientific research among students and improve their professional training.
During the round table, the participants presented reports covering the prospects for the use of artificial intelligence in the architecture and construction of Kazakhstan, the possibilities of using VR and AR technologies, robotics, 3D seals, drones in construction, as well as the development of digital and BIM technologies. Students had the opportunity to present their research projects, share personal experiences and discuss the challenges associated with the introduction of new technologies. The head of the department N. M. Bekaliyev noted the importance of the event, the active participation of students, the relevance of the issues raised and the need for further development of scientific and project activities.
