Table tennis (pin-pong) is an Olympic sport, a sports game with a ball, which uses special rackets and a game table delimited by a grid in half.

Now it is difficult to say in which country table tennis originated. Some believe that table tennis first appeared in Japan or China, others believe that its homeland is France or England. A number of historians are looking for the origins of the game in ancient Rome. Despite all these disputes, we can say with confidence that there are guys at Engineering and Humanitarian Faculty of who are fond of this sport.       

On the 8th of December 2022, senior teachers of the Department of General Educational Disciplines Shalayev B.B., Ertleu K.M. organized and held a table tennis competition among 1st year students. The I st degree Diploma was won by the 1st year students of educational program “Computer Engineering and Information Systems” Katashev A. (gr.VTIS-12); the II degree Diploma went to the student of the group 6B07301 “Architecture” Serikkali T. (gr. Arch-15); the III degree Diploma – Khairgali A., gr. Arch-15.
