On March 16, 2023 at 11.30 am, the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Languages and Management at the West Kazakhstan Innovative Technological University and the public association TEO arranged a seminar “Transformations in learning methods and teacher training”.
During the event, the Assistant of the Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy, John Orak, and a Coordinator of English Language Programs, U.S. Embassy, Olga Paterova, talked about the language and educational programs of the US Department of State. Also we had other wonderful speakers: August Garnsi (EL Fellow), Israel Moges (Kazakh International College), Stephen Ridley (Good Life Magazine), Albina Abilova (NIS Oral), Tileukabyl Bibituly (Abay gymnasium), Moldir Rakhimzhanova (Chagan school) and Gauhar Niyar (school No.2 in Aksai). The seminar participants discussed modern methods of teaching the foreign language, research results, Kazakh and English language clubs and STEM teaching methods.
