On February 11, 2026, at the initiative of A.K. Dnekeshev, PhD in Veterinary Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Veterinary Science and Technosphere Safety at the Institute of Industrial Technologies at ZKITU, a meeting was organized for third- and fourth-year students of the Veterinary Science Educational Program with Serimbek Qurmanbaiuly Abuqaliev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences and Professor at the Agrarian Innovation and Technology Park. The lecture topic was “Problems of Dairy Farming Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Solutions.”
The event was held at the Agrarian Innovation and Technology Park (AITP), a multifunctional complex focused on developing agriculture in western Kazakhstan. The center boasts modern facilities and a developed research infrastructure. The head of AITP is Darkhan Bakytbekovich Smagulov, PhD, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the meeting was to introduce students to modern dairy farming technologies, analyze veterinary issues in production across the Republic of Kazakhstan, and discuss the current status and development prospects of new dairy farms in the West Kazakhstan region.
During his lecture, Professor S.K. Abugaliev emphasized the growing role of veterinarians in the context of industrialized dairy production. Issues of biosecurity, reproductive management, disease prevention, and early diagnosis were discussed. Of particular interest was information about innovative devices and modern diagnostic methods for the most common gynecological pathologies in cows, which impact reproduction and the economic efficiency of farms.
In conclusion, it should be noted that such meetings foster students’ practice-oriented professional thinking, deepening their knowledge of real-world production processes and modern technological solutions in the industry. Integrating the educational process with research and production facilities, such as the AITP, improves the quality of training for future veterinary specialists and strengthens the university’s ties with the region’s agricultural sector.
