On April 25, 2023, senior lecturer of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, Master of Technical Sciences A.N. Mukambetkalieva conducted a practice-oriented lesson on the discipline “Special technologies for the production of fuels from oil and gas” at the chemical laboratory at the Oil terminal of Zhaikmunai LLP for students of the 2nd course in OP 6B07201 – “Oil and gas business”.
During a practice-oriented lesson with the participation of the engineer of the chemical laboratory of the Oil terminal of Zhaikmunai LLP, A.T. Mukhambetyarova, the following chemical analyses were carried out:
– Determination of the content of mercaptans and sulfur-containing compounds;
– Determination of the fractional composition of oil;
– Determination of the amount of pH;
– Determination of oil density and viscosity;
– Determination of the content of organochlorine compounds.
The students got acquainted with the methods of determining the physico-chemical properties of oil, as well as the principles of operation of equipment for determining the physico-chemical properties of oil.
