The objective of the lesson is to foster patriotism and civic responsibility, introduce students to the history of the establishment of sovereignty, and develop an interest in the country’s history and culture. The lesson aims to deepen knowledge of Kazakhstan’s early steps on the global stage, as well as the importance of Kazakhstan’s achievements and its prospects.

Оn the 8th of the December 2025 senior instructor L.N. Mairanova began the lesson with a brief explanation of December 16, 1991, the day Kazakhstan adopted the Law “On Independence and State Sovereignty” after the collapse of the USSR. The Republic of Kazakhstan is a young, independent state. Our country has rich mineral resources and a vast territory.

Ist year students of the «Veterinary» prepared a presentation in English about the main national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Independence Day. This day is celebrated in Kazakhstan annually on December 16. Independence is a great event for the nation, but in the 1990s, very young students and others died in the struggle for independence. At the end of the lesson, students are assessed and motivated to continue their success in learning English.
